What's the difference?
WHAT IS CRANE HIRE?
As the title suggests, Crane Hire refers to the rental of a crane.
It is the responsibility of the customer to :-

Complete a site visit to determine the scope of work to be carried out and ascertain the crane selection along with a set of lifting operations established in a Risk & Method Statement

Provide suitable insurance cover incase of crane damage and loss of hire during the repair along with lifted goods insurance and Public Liability

Responsible for ground conditions at the project location and access to and from site.

Safeguard the operations of the crane along with the safety of its operator

Sustain full liability of the crane & its operator

Carry out all work in accordance with BS7121
WHAT IS CONTRACT LIFTING?
Contract lifting is an all round service provided to you via your crane company. They take full responsibility of everything without the customer having to worry about putting anything into action.
All that is needed to be supplied by the client is information regarding the lift and the ground conditions, and the Contract lifting company take care of everything else.
